And in this year edition we can observe deep changes in the way companies approach employees\u2019 mobility and energy transition.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/divi:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- divi:spacer {\"height\":20} -->\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<!-- \/divi:spacer -->\n\n<!-- divi:separator {\"className\":\"is-style-wide\"} -->\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n<!-- \/divi:separator -->\n\n<!-- divi:spacer {\"height\":20} -->\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<!-- \/divi:spacer -->\n\n<!-- divi:paragraph {\"className\":\"justify\"} -->\n<p class=\"justify\">As for every year since 2004, the Fleet Barometer draws the big lines of fleet management in Europe. In very big companies, this number goes up to 42%! The most popular option remains\u00a0<strong>hybrid<\/strong> (14%) followed by\u00a0<strong>electric vehicles<\/strong> (12%). France is the third country, after Netherlands and England, to plebiscite the introduction of alternative energies in corporate fleet. The growth potential is also very strong, going up to 51% in France for example.<\/p>\n<!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/div>\n<!-- \/divi:column -->\n\n<!-- divi:column -->\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\"><!-- divi:paragraph {\"customBackgroundColor\":\"#2b98af\"} -->\n<p style=\"background-color:#2b98af\" class=\"has-background\"><span style=\"color:#ffffff\" class=\"tadv-color\"><strong>&#8220;Every year, we try to anticipate the main trends and to observe how managers see the future of their vehicle fleet. This new edition unveils deep changes, fast ones too, in the perception of their staff&#8217;s travels.&#8221;<\/strong> Fran\u00e7ois Piot, president of the Arval Mobility Observatory<\/span><\/p>\n<!-- \/divi:paragraph --><\/div>\n<!-- \/divi:column --><\/div>\n<!-- \/divi:columns -->\n\n<!-- divi:paragraph {\"className\":\"justify\"} -->\n<p class=\"justify\"><strong>Managers are still confident in the growth of their fleets <\/strong>in the next three years (18%) but the choice of vehicles is made more carefully than ever. The reason? The first objectives of theses initiatives? To\u00a0<strong>ensure a better maintenance of the vehicles<\/strong> (79%), to\u00a0<strong>optimize travels<\/strong> (74%) and to\u00a0<strong>reduce fuel consumption<\/strong> (72%).<\/p>\n<!-- \/divi:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- divi:paragraph {\"className\":\"justify\"} -->\n<p class=\"justify\">We can divide these issues in two main categories: the improvement of vehicles management (maintenance, mileage, fuel monitoring\u2026) and of drivers behavior (accidents, driving habits, optimization of travels\u2026).<\/p>\n<!-- \/divi:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- divi:paragraph {\"className\":\"justify\"} -->\n<p class=\"justify\">Nonetheless, a pretty surprising fact emerges from this survey:\u00a0<strong>only 21% of surveyed companies are using telematic solutions.<\/strong> A rather weak percentage comparing to the strong will to improve fleet management. Indeed, telematics can be a big help when it comes to improving vehicles management.<\/p>\n<!-- \/divi:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- divi:paragraph {\"className\":\"justify\"} -->\n<p class=\"justify\">For companies using these kind of technologies, it\u2019s mainly about <strong>geolocating vehicles<\/strong> (49%) and\u00a0<strong>reducing maintenance fees<\/strong> (33%).<\/p>\n<!-- \/divi:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- divi:paragraph {\"className\":\"justify\"} -->\n<p class=\"justify\">These are recurring issues for large and very large companies, owning a more important volume of vehicles. And to answer to new generations expectations!\u00a0<strong>17% of very large companies (6% for all categories) are willing to develop specific services for their younger staff.<\/strong> Employees that were raised with digital uses and don\u2019t necessarily own a driving permit. Among considered services, carpooling (76%) and carsharing (65%) are still popular options!<\/p>\n<!-- \/divi:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- divi:spacer {\"height\":20} -->\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<!-- \/divi:spacer -->\n\n<!-- divi:separator {\"className\":\"is-style-wide\"} -->\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n<!-- \/divi:separator -->\n\n<!-- divi:spacer {\"height\":20} -->\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<!-- \/divi:spacer -->\n\n<!-- divi:paragraph {\"className\":\"justify\"} -->\n<p class=\"justify\"><strong>We can observe in this 2019 edition of the fleet barometer that new factors, both environmental and behavioral, are taken into account. Chez les tr\u00e8s grandes entreprises ce nombre monte \u00e0 68%&nbsp;! L\u2019option la plus populaire reste aujourd\u2019hui l\u2019hybride (18%) suivi par le v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique (17%). Les objectifs premiers de ces initiatives\u00a0?\u00a0<strong>Administrer au mieux l\u2019entretien des v\u00e9hicules<\/strong> (79%),\u00a0<strong>optimiser les d\u00e9placements<\/strong> (74%) et\u00a0<strong>r\u00e9duire la consommation de carburant<\/strong> (72%). Un pourcentage assez faible en comparaison de la volont\u00e9 d\u2019am\u00e9liorer la gestion de flotte globale.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mobilitytechgreen.com\/blog\/2019\/02\/13\/article-telematique\/\">La t\u00e9l\u00e9matique peut en effet grandement participer \u00e0 une meilleure administration des v\u00e9hicules de parc.\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"className\":\"justify\"} -->\n<p class=\"justify\">Pour les gestionnaires utilisant ce type de technologies, il s\u2019agit surtout de\u00a0<strong>localiser les v\u00e9hicules (54%)<\/strong> et d\u2019<strong>am\u00e9liorer le comportement des conducteurs (46%)<\/strong>. Ces probl\u00e9matiques sont beaucoup plus r\u00e9currentes dans les grandes et tr\u00e8s grandes entreprises, poss\u00e9dant un volume de v\u00e9hicules important. Dans ce type de configuration, la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de la t\u00e9l\u00e9matique se fait davantage ressentir. Le potentiel de d\u00e9veloppement de ces alternatives est surtout fort dans les grandes structures (49% pour l\u2019autopartage, soit +5 points par rapport \u00e0 2018). Et pour s\u2019adapter aux nouvelles g\u00e9n\u00e9rations\u00a0!\u00a0<strong>17% des tr\u00e8s grandes entreprises interrog\u00e9es (6% au global) ont ainsi l\u2019intention de d\u00e9velopper des services sp\u00e9cifiques pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins des jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations.<\/strong> Des salari\u00e9s berc\u00e9s par les usages num\u00e9riques et ne poss\u00e9dant pas forc\u00e9ment le permis de conduire.
